Welcome to Dancing with Light Photography! The fine art photography of Jeffrey Van der Koon
About this website ... Welcome to the Internet home of Jeffrey Van der Koon and Dancing with Light Photography. I hope that you will enjoy your visit. We're in the process of designing and building our new website, but in the interim we will continue to add new images, articles and information here.
About the images ... Many years ago, Ansel Adams once commented that the negative is the score and the print is the performance. I believe in and follow this philosophy with every piece of work that I produce. As I work to build and create the image, I focus on both the physical and ethereal qualities that the final print impart. Sadly, many of these qualities can only be hinted at over the internet.
As part of the design of this site, each image has been reduced in size and resolution to minimize download time and the color has been tuned to allow the best viewing for the greatest number of viewers. The best way to experience my work is to visit us at anyone of the art shows in which we participate. Please click on Show Schedule for a printable copy of my 2010 schedule (it's a PDF and may take some time to load). Finally, each image on this site carries a copyright notice in the body of the image. This notices is not part of and and is not found on the final prints.
